Join the session which will focus on healthcare navigation and advocacy for communities at the intersection of transgender identity and disability. Based on findings from Elijah Foran’s graduate thesis which involved interviews with 15 trans-disabled community leaders, this presentation will highlight advocacy strategies, note the importance of community support, and explore how healthcare practice can be improved to better support trans-disabled people.
