Peer Support
We provide peer to peer support in the qathet Regional District for gender diverse and trans people, and their allies. Our values are safety, clear and current communication, and support that includes trauma informed practices.Our lines of communication are open to hear from you about what our program can bring to qathet.
Peer Support
Peer support group for parents, caregivers, and other caring adults in the lives of 2STGNC/Trans minors. We meet for two hours on Saturday mornings approximately every 6 weeks to discuss parenting decisions, systems navigation and advocacy, as well as providing mutual emotional support. The group is facilitated by a registered social worker.Once per year we also provide an 8-week Gender Journeys group for 2STGNC/Trans preteens.
Peer Support
This group offers a culturally safe environment for those exploring their gender identity to connect, exchange experiences, and grow. With both a mental health clinician from the North Shore Primary Care Network and a peer facilitator with lived experiences, our monthly meetings focus on peer support for gender affirming care, creating a space for communal healing, self-identity, service navigation, and building connections on the North Shore. We invite you to join our supportive and therapeutic space.Eligibility- Adults 19+- 15 spots available

Peer Support
Gender Journeys is a weekly peer-support group for 2-spirit, trans, gender diverse and questioning adults in Nanaimo and the surrounding area. We aim to provide a supportive and empowering space for adults exploring their gender identity, fostering community, and facilitating discussions on various aspects of the gender journey.

Pflag Canada is a charity which provides peer support, education, and advocacy for a Canada that affirms, respects, and values all sexualities, genders, and gender expressions.

In collaboration with the Victoria Disability Resource Center, Queerabilities Victoria is a lightly moderated weekly check-in for folks in the 2SLGBTQIA+ community who also live with mental and/or physical disability(ies)/chronic illness(es) and/or identify as dsiabled, regardless of a formal or self diagnosis.
Peer Support
A monthly drop-in space covering different topics and activities for the diverse array of trans, non-binary, genderqueer, Two Spirit, and otherwise gender variant individuals in the Southern Vancouver Island area. Meetings currently run virtually and in-person, alternating between two in-person months, then two online, etc.

If you are a parent or caregiver of a teenager or pre-teen, who identify as part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, we offer a parenting support and information group. There will be space for discussion, connecting with other parents, and education. We run these groups as needed, please call our office for more information at 250-748-0232.
